Hardwood is the whole business

We are not a general flooring contractor who also does wood. Hardwood is what we do all day, every day, and that focus shows up in the details — knowing how a stain will read on red oak versus maple, knowing when a floor can be saved and when it genuinely cannot, and owning the dust free sanding equipment rather than renting whatever is available that week.

Experience on the crew

Between us there is more than 70 years of combined experience in the hardwood flooring trade. That matters most on the jobs that are not straightforward: an old floor with three previous finishes on it, a repair that has to disappear into 80-year-old oak, or a subfloor that turns out to be a problem once the carpet comes up.

Honest estimates

Estimates are free, and they are written. We would rather tell you a floor does not need a full refinish — that a screen and coat will do — than sell you the bigger job. That has been how we have kept working in Lexington since 2005.
